UTG International Transportation and Customs Consulting Ltd, was established with the purpose of giving international air, and sea cargo agency and customs services, in Istanbul (1999). Our purpose was to make a company with a different service understanding, improve service quality, and become one of the leaders in logistics sector among hundreds of other forwarder firms. Thanks to our strong organizational structure, we never gave up our innovative identity that keeps track of improvements in communications and electronics sectors worldwide.

In year 2002, our firm applied to International Air Transport Association (IATA), and then our IATA agency was confirmed. UTG is also a member of the Turkey’s representative in this sector, UTIKAD (INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDERS ASSOCIATION OF TURKEY), and acts in accordance with UTIKAD’s ethical practices. By forming agency deals, we increased the range of our service network in countries that Turkey has a large trade volume with. Also in 2003, we applied to the Combined Freight Network «CFN-Network» (www.combinedfn.com) to be Turkey’s representative; this is a network that’s based on Hong Kong, and it has representatives in many countries.

Between 2001 – 2005, UTG successfully conducted Aeroflot Russian Airways Cargo part as the Turkish representative. Being IATA Cargo agency service and being an airways agency that serves all IATA agencies, UTG has improved its brand image in its sector.
Our firm started its operations in 1999 with 8 personnel, now it has 50 personnel and it has reached a structure which serves many small and large import and export companies.

In 2004, under legal practices, UTG Customs Consulting Ltd Company was formed for customs services, and our transportation firm’s name was changed to UTG International Transportation Ltd. Both of our customs and cargo agency services are held under the same framework.
